About the Role:We're looking for a talented Engineering Manager with a passion for building enterprise-grade software to join the engineering leadership team. You will focus on developing world-class enterprise capabilities and features in support of our largest and most sophisticated customers. The work we do is both highly visible and critically important to Fivetran's long-term growth and success. You will impact the entire product as we develop our next generation of enterprise, data governance, trust, security, and solutions engineering offerings.Enterprise is the newest group within Fivetran Engineering that you will have an integral role in shaping. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a full-stack team of engineers and coordinate with other stakeholders at the company, including product management, support engineers, and sales engineers. You will own your team's entire software development lifecycle, delivering capabilities critical to making our largest enterprise customers successful. You will take full responsibility for the quality, efficiency, and reliability of your focus areas, and you will build and maintain a team that reliably delivers excellent results while maintaining a culture of engagement, fairness, and continuous improvement.A successful candidate will be humble enough to collect diverse input and build consensus, experienced and confident enough to be decisive when needed, and practical enough to create and iterate on the system while it's in production.This is a full-time position based out of our Novi Sad office.Technologies You'll Use:

Java, C, Google BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, IBM DB2 (LUW, iSeries or z/OS), SYBASE, Azure, AWS.

What You'll Do:

Become an expert with application, database and replication technologies
Become an expert with our ELT pipeline and drive new feature development and optimisation initiatives
Become an expert on what it takes to support large Enterprise customers
Coach and mentor engineers on the team and help them advance in their careers
Recruit engineers that are amongst the best in the industry, from outreach through close
Diagnose and resolve obstacles that prevent your team from delivering high-quality software
Manage the processes necessary to operate the team effectively
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the engineering management team
Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor to your team
Review and approve technical design documents and pull requests.
Mentor other members of the team and assist with their challenges.
Care for and take ownership of our product platform, and leverage your skills to improve code quality.
Work across the project lifecycle: requirements, design, prototype, implementation, review, release, and monitoring.

Skills We're Looking For:

Strong track record as a software engineer delivering high-impact software, with engineering manager or team lead experience.
Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to motivate teams to produce high-quality software
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Demonstrated competency in development processes with project and program leadership
Ability to develop and communicate across teams to get an effective vision and get buy-in from stakeholders
Ability to assess and iterate within an evolving software and services environment
Demonstrated technical skills in application or platform engineering
You are adaptable and willing to learn new skills while being flexible to work in new environments.

Bonus Skills:

Experience in Relational Databases, SQL language, and DBMS call-level interfaces (e.g. ODBC or Oracle OCI).
Experience with data replication, ETL/ELT tools, cloud and software-defined infrastructure tools (AWS Cloud Formation, Kubernetes, Docker), API technologies and analytics is a plus.
Knowledge of IBM DB2 (LUW, iSeries or z/OS) or SYBASE is a strong plus.
Knowledge of DBMS internals, such as the transaction logging system, is a strong plus. Diving into the nitty-gritty innards of database systems does not scare you.
